Now this should be tight. reports: Legendary rapper Rakim is scheduled to release his newest album, Live, Lost & Found, March 4 on Koch Records. Rakim, real name William Michael Griffin Jr., is arguably the architect of modern-day lyricism. Along with his producer DJ Eric B, Rakim is best-known for the classic hits, “Paid In Full,” “Eric B. is President,” “I Ain’t No Joke”, “My Melody”, “Move The Crowd,” “Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em” and “Microphone Fiend.” In 2003, Rakim was set to release Oh, My God under Dr. Dre’s label Aftermath Entertainment, but after several delays it was ultimately shelved. Found comes 21 years after Rakim and Eric B’s debut album Paid In Full.

Wow 21 years. That’s a long time to have a classic that stil goes hard through the speakers. I may have to pick this up. I love live albums.

Bonus: Yall see Eric B. Lookin like Tookie Williams. LMAO @ the 80’s

Alright while I try not to be a critical person I have to be a little on this one. I like Dem Franchise Boyz (well at least that one song…not enough to buy the album though) and when I saw this over at Vibe I decided to check it out. The song is cool and I love the political voice but there’s only one problem…you can’t here a word they’re saying. The chorus was cool but the verses were overdubbed by the clips of politicians. I didn’t get much out of the song because of that, but otherwise I have to give it to them for moving on from the “White Tee” thing of 05 .

Check out the video and let me know what you think

Just when you thought it was over…you can never escape the english grip of Simon. Ruben Studdard will be performing on American Idol when the final 12 gets the boot in a few weeks and I just have to say…well let’s talk about it after the official stuff. reports: season-two winner Ruben Studdard will perform the “farewell song” used to play off the losing contestants when they depart the top 12.This year, the song will be a cover of Kenny Loggins’ “Celebrate Me Home,” in a new version produced by Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam. “It’s very soulful, very heartfelt,” Lewis says. “Ruben is singing his pants off.”

Singing his pants off huh? WOW. I thought Ruben was going to break away from the American Idol image like Clarksen…but he did not. I like Ruben though, I just wish he would work with some better producers. I say stick with Jam and Lewis on the next project. Everything they do sounds like a classic.

Oh well. He’s getting paid for the event which is more than I can say for my singing gigs in the shower lol.

Alright so I’m back after studying for this dayum Marketing midterm that was only worth 10% of my grade and has been keeping me away from my faithful readers (whuddup bb and shaun). So I read over at ahotmess that Remy Ma is about to go on trial for shooting some girl  in the stomach a lil while back. I’m not going to get into the story that much because honestly…I’m fed up with rappers getting into trouble over the dumbest sh*t.

What is it about some people that they can’t stay out of BS? Ok so you shot someone in the stomach…I’m STILL not buying the album…I digress. I would say I’ll keep you posted but…I won’t so don’t hold your breath lol.

P.S. why does she always have her ta tas out? I like breast and all but c’mon remy…you’re not much to look at LMAO.

OK hold on, didn’t an HBO movie about Mike come out in like 93? Yea I thought so , so why is Jamie Foxx wasting his time on another one. The funny part is…people will actually go see it (I’m frontin’ like I’m not) and it just may top his performance in Ray…Oscar #2 maybe? Yea I didn’t think so either.

P.S. What the f*ck is he wearing in this picture? LMAO

Word is Jay-Z and Nas may be teaming up for an album sometime soon. Now as much as I loved Ether I have to admit that I’ve been waiting to hear this news since like the 10th grade. There are really no details right now but I read that the Album may be entitled “Kings of Hip Hop.”

Ok how many comments can you make about this? Come on, this should be outstanding. Forget iTunes, I will actually travel to a store and buy the CD with my own two hands and 14.99 cash (like that’s so unheard of). Anyway I’ll keep all of you posted on the production. I’m sure they’ll invite me to the studio for a live blog session…NOT!!!

Alicia Keys cancelled some overseas tour dates this past weekend due to laryngitis. Her doctor told her to stay away from the stage for a while and let her voice take a rest. I love Alicia because she makes real music and she tours like crazy. She reminds me of artist in the 60’s and 70’s that toured all year long and then went BACK into the studio and made a record in like 3 days lol. Anyway get well Alicia. I would love to see you when you come to Chicago but your tickets are way beyond my college student budget. If you need a drummer holla @ me…I’ve got good chops lol.

Bonus caption: Alicia is at rehearsal when the doctor tells her to stop singing…”What chu mean I can’t sang…oh you mean because of the sickness” lol. Have a good day yall.
